With an artistic bent beyond her years and able to read and write at 3 years of age, the focus of her life has been art.

An avid reader, historian, and gifted storyteller, Barbara applies her unique artistic talent and imagination to the telling of stories with paint and brush. Her gift is all the more remarkable since at age nine it was discovered she was suffering a rare form of rapid onset blindness.

Fearing the worst, her tender life became one of sight saving classes and Braille instruction. As if Heaven had stepped in, the progression stopped as abruptly as it began, allowing unlimited expression in her chosen forms.

Now Barbara's artistic temperament and passion for storytelling, finds its voice painting memories and imaginative scenes on canvas, found boxes and furniture.

Art is an extension of the soul, where inspiration, creativity, imagination and joy culminate to a manifestation of texture and color.
